POE is a Scholar from the Underground

The Scholars from the Underground is a name that I conceived which stems from my past experiences which are rather uncommon. I experienced child abuse which includes verbal, physical, sexual, mental, and spiritual abuse. I then left home at the age of twelve. After that I ended up living homeless; several years of street life in East Vancouver.

By the age of fifteen I served almost two years in juvenile centers for a string of convictions. I then went back to the streets and got involved in the racist skinhead movement for the following decade. I worked for organized crime and bikers on several occasions.

Things got worse and then my process of change began at age twenty-six. You will read about this intermittently throughout this blog as it applies. which surely it will. Now at age thirty-seven, I am completing my Master’s in Social Work, with a B.A. in First Nations Studies.

I refer to myself as a Scholar from the Underground because I lived on the streets, was involved in gangs, and violent extremism which includes domestic terrorism. I now do media consultation, intelligence consultation, counselling, work in services, and am a published writer.

I have published both poetry and non-fiction auto-biographic-stories.

I am POE (Product Of Environment), a scholar from the underground.
