Daniel Gallant is a lawyer and Registered Social Worker.

Daniel is a published writer in academics, literary journals, magazines, media, etc. Poetic narratives are Daniel’s primary creative processing tool, and also has published in creative non-fiction (auto-biographic) genre. He has presented his work around the world and in the international forum. He has appeared in more than 100 radio, television and news media. He is passionate about issues related to child protection, countering gangs and extremism, addictions recovery, creative expression, access to justice and the outdoors.

As an advocate and consultant for media, scholars, and government bodies on violent right wing extremism in Canada, and a trained counsellor, Daniel offers resources to individuals seeking to leave violent extremist and gang lifestyles. Daniel presents Scholars from the Underground in order to promote transformation and to contribute to create safe spaces in society for cultural transformation.
