Daniel Gallant is a lawyer and Registered Social Worker.
Daniel is a published writer in academics, literary journals, magazines, media, etc. Poetic narratives are Daniel’s primary creative processing tool, and has published creative non-fiction, autobiographic, and news media.
Daniel’s academic and professional work has been presented all over North America and Europe. He has appeared in more than 100 radio, television and news media interviews and is passionate about issues the following issues: child protection, countering gangs and extremism, overcoming poverty and addictions, creative expression, and access to justice.
As a Social Worker, counsellor, advocate and consultant for media, scholars, and government bodies on violent right wing extremism in Canada, Daniel continues to offer resources and services to individuals seeking to better their lives.
Daniel also works as a lawyer in civil, family, criminal and adminstrative law (landlord tenant, human rights, WCB, etc.). He also is passionate about Indigenous rights and title, and is always prepared to address systemic issues head-on, such as discrimination, oppression and abuse.
Daniel presents Scholars from the Underground in order to promote personal, social, political and legal transformation, and to contribute to creating safe spaces and opportunities for meaningful change.
